One of our favorite authors, Jerry Stahl, recently provided us with a comprehensive list of his favorite books, which you can find below. Stahl is the author of nine books, including best-sellers Permanent Midnight: A Memoir and I, Fatty: A Novel
, along with editing the anthology, “The Heroin Chronicles.” His journalism has appeared in Esquire, Village Voice, Playboy and Vice, among other places. He has written extensively for film & television, most recently co-writing “Chuck,” about boxer Chuck Wepner, and “Hemingway & Gellhorn” for HBO, as well as writing for the IFC series, “Maron,” and the upcoming Showtime miniseries, “Escape At Dannemora.” He is currently completing a book about his experience on a World War Two death camp tour.
