Ausmuteants’ and Alien Nosejob’s Jake Robertson recently provided us with a list of his favorite Australian punk singles and comic books, which you can find below. The Ausmuteants’ first album, Amusements, was met with international acclaim following its release in 2013 and drew comparisons with some of the early work of Devo as a result of the band’s use of synthesizers and Robertson’s seamless ability to craft memorable pop hooks. In addition to their first full length album, we strongly recommend checking out the Ausmuteants’ subsequent releases Order of Operation (2014) and Band of the Future (2016) (see videos below). Recently, Robertson has released several solo projects in the same vein as Ausmuteants under the moniker Alien Nosejob, including 2018’s full-length Various Fads & Technological Achievements via Anti Fade Records.
